This is a concept cover that I created for Muse, which is a fictional pop music magazine that showcases trending artists and creative topics. The challenge for this project was to create a cover where the subject appeared to be "larger than life" by using professional photo manipulating techniques in Adobe Photoshop.
Manipulated Images
I combined photos of a model, a turntable and a gradient wall to depict the person posing on a large turntable as if it were a stage. The colour composition was inspired by neon lighting that is commonly used in concerts and pop music videos. Overall, I wanted this composition to make the featured artist look strong and confident, making sure that the composition, colour scheme and use of negative space made her the focal point.
