This album cover concept is based on the song “Lotus – Intro” by Jhené Aiko, who is an American contemporary soul and R&B singer. Her music style is known for being calming and tranquil and I wanted to visually represent that with an ethereal theme for this cover. The colour scheme was inspired by a photoshoot she had with Steven Tailor, which featured a red background and dramatic lighting. The challenge for this project was to combine several images in Adobe Photoshop to create a professional album cover design that would suit the artist.
